China may suck, but I would rather argue people suck. Canada is not immune from human rights abuses either. I think maybe that is because we are all human. We are all sinful and we are all trying to find our way. I firmly believe each of us has the potential to be good, but it is in our nature to be sinful. It is especially tragic to see this sinful nature magnified on the state level, as it seems to be in China.
(But of course, I am across the world, have a different perspective because of that and there is a lot of state censorship, so it is hard to tell what really happens there.)
