The End Times

Well folks, we have entered the end times. Ryan Smyth was traded today........and for what........NOTHING!!!!. 2 loser prospect players and a draft pick OH WOW!!!!. And for those of you still holding onto the hope that we'll just sign him in the summer, keep dreaming. If the Oilers aren't willing to go over 5 or 5.5 million a year for him, there's no friggin way he'll come back, simply because any other team that wants him will offer him much more than that. Congratulations Kevin Lowe you cut out the heart of the Oilers and traded it for a bag of pucks and a gamble. Can't lay all the blame on the team though, to be fair Smyth and his agent could have taken a deal. This goes back to my point that hockey players don't need to be making all this money. I mean seriously, it's like "oh no I'm only making 5 million a year.....outrageous, this is totally unacceptable". Whatever, either way he's gone. OH YA and the Oilers lost 3-0 tonight to, wonderful. I think Captain America is already taken, and Captain Islander sounds pretty gay........AHHHHHHHHHH I AM SO PISSED!!!!. It is truly a dark day for Oilers fans....... but hey Messier's banner raising went well, good memories, good ceremony. A small glimmer of light on an otherwise black day for the franchise.
